Student Job Safety
Although we post most of the work experience jobs listed ourselves, we do allow employers to list their own jobs. These are read (and can only be listed by admin), however, due to the volume of jobs received by Rent a Student, we are unable to confirm the integrity of every position listed 100%. Students are urged to research positions / employers and to conduct due diligence themselves. We encourage students to use common sense and to exercise caution when applying for positions. Do not put yourself in a vulnerable situation ever. Also, do not accept work if you feel uncomfortable with the working hours e.g. late shifts / overnight.
- Use common sense when applying for and engaging in off-campus employment. If a potential employer asks you to participate in an activity that makes you uncomfortable in any way, don’t do it. If you wish, report it to us and we will investigate.
- Be wary of ‘check cashing scams.’ If someone asks you to deposit a check/money order into your personal account and send money to another individual, you should refuse and contact our office immediately.
- NEVER pay for a position or materials to get you a position. Genuine employers will never as you for money before you commence work. Seriously, never!
- Please be aware that Rent-a-Student will list employment opportunities on this website only. We are unable to prevent other websites from copying our listings and reposting them elsewhere.
